With his fun videos and catchy songs, he’s racked up more than 3 billion views on YouTube, and has grown an estimated net worth of $20 million.
Blippi (Stevin John) is a former US Air Force Serviceman, turned video content creator. He creates content for children’s entertainment and education on YouTube, Hulu, and Amazon Video. His YouTube channel mainly consists of videos for kids to help them learn colors, shapes, numbers, letters, alphabets, nursery rhymes, and much more.
Blippi got his start in the entertainment business as a comedian, but his career wasn’t always in the spotlight. In fact, Stevin went on to work in the Air Force for two years before he made the move to Los Angeles, California, to start his career in marketing and video production.
While the impact of Blippi’s content was greatly inspired by all of the farm animals and tractors he grew up with as a country kid, the original idea for Blippi came from Stevin’s interactions with his family. One of his videos, “Blippi Learns About Jungle Animals,” has over 813 million views on YouTube; he earned around $6.2 million from this one video. Another video, “Videos for Toddlers with Blippi | Learn Colors and Numbers,” has over 310 million views and earned him around $2.4 million. He has other channels, too, such as Blippi Arabic, Blippi Toys, Blippi Espanol, and many more. The Spanish version of Blippi’s is able to get over 5 million views daily and generate around $10,000 per day.
Stevin also offers his videos on Hulu and Amazon. His videos have remained in the Top 100 on Amazon’s list, and cost $1.99 per episode or $59.99 for the full season. On Hulu, it costs $5.99 per month to subscribe to Blippi’s channel. He’s also in talks with Netflix for a regular Blippi show in the near future – and there’s no doubt that a deal like that would boost his net worth by millions.
Besides this, Blippi also does live tours and sells merchandise around his character. In the summer of 2021, Blippi launched a North American tour of “Blippi The Musical,” with its first stop being Charleston, USA. This has, no doubt, helped drive up Blippi’s net worth even more. As for his merchandise, his line includes Blippi berets, shoes, toys, and pillows. Blippi action figures and mini versions of his signature bow tie and hats are also available for purchase.
And according to the Wall Street Journal, Blippi is on track to be the largest new preschool launch of the year. Blippi items are priced from $3.99 to $19.99 and are offered through both Walmart and Amazon.
